FAIRFIELD, NJ -The OYSTAR USA Process Division, which is responsible for all sales, service and support in North America for OYSTAR Manesty and OYSTAR Hüttlin pharmaceutical processing equipment will feature a selection of innovative, solid dosage machinery at Booth #1609 at the 2010 Interphex Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on April 20-22, 2010.
The four featured products that will be exhibited at the booth are:
o OYSTAR Manesty FLEXITAB® - a fully automated, single station tablet press with a multi-layer tablet function, giving it the unique capacity to produce three-layer tablets. Its variable punch displacement and dwell time can be set to simulate compression on any rotary press using compression forces up to 100kN.
o OYSTAR Manesty XPRESS® 300 Range Tablet Press - suitable for small to medium batch sizes, the compact XPRESS® 300 offers numerous benefits including: high yields and excellent weight consistency assisted by the "zero clearance" feeder design; 100 kN pre and main compression capability of a wide range of materials; MPOWER® integrated control technology; simple, rapid turret removal; cGMP, GAMP, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
o OYSTAR XSpress® - The new generation of R&D rotary press introduced by OYSTAR Manesty, XSpress® is an 8 to 10 station press offering pre and main compression and also offers a unique hybrid turret with four B and four D punches. This flexible turret arrangement allows rapid format change without the need to exchange turrets. The press comes fully automated with PC, data acquisition and graphic analysis package for scaling up.
o OYSTAR Hüttlin Unilab- This fluid bed with a capacity of 0.2 to 6 kg allows drying, granulating and coating with a single bowl. The process air is distributed by a diskjet at the bottom of the bowl where slots laser cut a 45-degree angle allowing for circular motion of the product, for fast efficient mixing. Bottom spray nozzles used for both granulation and coating are also placed at a 45-degree angle through the diskjet. This allows spraying of binder or coating material along with the process air, thus reducing spray time and increasing yield and drug loading. The unique glass expansion chamber enables a direct view of the process.
