Oxford, UK -- 14 March 2006 -- Oxonica plc, a leading International nanomaterials group, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded ISO9001 certification for its UK based activities in the research and development, manufacture and supply of innovative commercial solutions in nanomaterials and associated consultative services. Oxonica were accredited by Moody International.

Thanks to its origins as a spin-out from Oxford University, England in 1999, Oxonica has been built on a foundation of solid scientific procedures and protocols which is why it was able to achieve ISO 9001 in only six months.

In addition, the company is developing other UV absorber technologies into polymer systems and coatings, based on similar technologies to that used in Optisol(TM). Oxonica completed a £2.6 million rights issue and employee fundraising (net of expenses) in February 2005. It then completed a £7.1 million placing (net of expenses) and its ordinary shares were admitted to trading on AIM on 20 July 2005. The admission to AIM has raised additional capital for the Group's development, improved its profile internationally with customers and suppliers and has assisted in the recruitment, retention and incentivisation of employees.
