Small footprint, servo-driven machine delivers improved efficiency and sustainability
Rocky Mount, NC - Ossid introduced today its new automatic 8000S horizontal thermoform fill and seal (HTFS) machine which delivers outstanding efficiency and package quality in an easy-to-maintain modular design. The servo-driven 8000S provides customers with an effective tool to improve energy costs, packaging line performance, maintenance and other sustainability issues while maintaining superior package quality. It produces high quality vacuum, modified atmosphere, reclosable, flexible, foil-foil, semi-rigid and rigid packaging for a wide range of food, medical, and consumer goods products.
Ossid's unique application of modular construction and advanced servo technology delivers cycle speeds up to 25 per minute and offers a compelling reduction in energy consumption. Precise servos control the 8000S' forming and sealing presses and its web feed conveying systems, reducing the use of compressed air, and its related costs, to a minimum.
For enhanced productivity and ease-of-maintenance, the 8000S provides hinged access to sealing components, a flexible, spacious loading area and easily serviced wear parts, such as cross cut knives. The stainless steel 8000S is clean room ready and provides maximum hygiene and wash down capability. The 8000S offers an intuitive human machine interface provided by an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix control system and Panelview application.
