Orbitform Appoints Robotics, Weld, and Automation Engineer
The Orbitform Group is pleased to announce Jason Schoonoverhas joined the company as Robotics, Weld, and Automation Engineer. Mr. Schoonover's skills and work experience are a large addition to the Marathon Welding Automation Team.
Jason has been in welding for approximately 12 years. He has experience as a production welder, weld instructor, and weld engineer. Jason received an Associates Degree in welding from Monroe County Community College in 1997 and graduated from Ferris State University in 1999 with a Bachelors Degree in Welding Engineering Technology.
Jason has worked for several Tier One suppliers over the last several years as production / process welding engineer. He has extensive experience with GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and resistance welding. Jason has worked with many automated systems including robots such as Motoman, Fanuc, and OTC. Along with robotic programming skills Jason also has experience with developing weld quality testing and procedure qualification.
Jason currently resides in Tecumseh, Michigan with his wife Laurie and daughter Lawson.
