Partnership with Premier Outsourced Sales and Marketing Organizations Set to Expand Opengear Channel and VAR Sales

SANDY, Utah, May 17 / -- Pledging a commitment to grow its channel and value-added reseller sales, Opengear today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Marketlink Technologies, an organization that will support Opengear in recruiting regional partners across all channels. The company also appointed Mirapath, a data center solution provider, as its first Platinum Channel Partner.

Opengear delivers infrastructure management gateways that overcome the limitations of traditional out-of-band technologies like console servers and KVM technologies. In partnering with Marketlink, Opengear will gain access to its robust network of contacts and key relationships with leading VARs, solution providers and managed service provides (MSPs).

"We are excited to partner with Opengear to promote its pioneering management solutions specifically across exciting growth segments of the system management," said Dan Dempsey, President of Marketlink. "The market is ripe for a more cost-effective in-band and out-of-band solution, and Opengear is an industry trendsetter in both price and performance. The VAR channel is looking for sellable alternatives across all categories, and we feel we are working with that solution for console server technology."

Opengear Channel Program

Opengear's Channel Program provides qualified partners with active lead- generation programs, competitive information and training, account protection, try-and-buy product for their customers to evaluate, and direct access to Opengear's development engineers. The Opengear Channel Program has three levels of participation gold, platinum and silver. All three levels provide Opengear partners with healthy margins.

Opengear's three channel levels are:

o Platinum partners consistently achieve revenue targets, attain a high level of customer satisfaction and enjoy enhanced benefits with Opengear.

o Gold partners have achieved proven success in the marketplace and have access to internal Opengear resources.

o Silver partners have invested in Opengear training and receive a comprehensive suite of sales tools, support and marketing information.

"The modern data center hosts a diverse array of equipment with an eclectic selection of management access methods and tools to be supported, and it is important that administrators can source quality products from quality channel partners," said Bob Waldie, CEO of Opengear.
