IPC Midwest Online Exhibit Hall: The Perfect Precursor to Meaningful Connections and Hands-On Demonstrations

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, July 31, 2009 - When doing more with less is the ultimate goal, knowledge is sovereign. Luckily for companies in electronics manufacturing, one of the best classrooms in the industry is headed to Schaumburg, Ill. - the exhibit floor at IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition, September 23-24, 2009, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center. But even before the Show opens, the IPC Midwest Online Exhibit Hall, www.IPCMidwestShow.org/exhibitors, gives attendees the tools to effectively plan their visit to focus specifically on addressing their needs and their companies' challenges.

In its second year, the IPC Midwest Online Exhibit Hall displays company information, product descriptions, photos and even links to audio and video. Visitors can search for relevant suppliers by category (from adhesives to workstations) or keywords and pull competitive information together easily, without having to travel to multiple virtual sites. Best of all, the feature, "My Midwest," enables attendees to create their own personalized plans for visiting exhibitors they need to see, including exact locations on the Show floor.

"We know that time is money to our visitors, so helping them get the information they need to make informed buying and business decisions throughout the year is imperative," says Sarah Martino, IPC exhibit operations manager. "The Online Exhibit Hall is really the first step in facilitating more meaningful connections between attendees and exhibitors - helping attendees target in on potential suppliers, saving enormous amounts of time researching on their own. Then at the Show, the face-to-face discussions can really pay off for them ... gaining a greater understanding of the product, service or technology; watching live demonstrations; and benefiting from valuable Q&A about how it will address their company's unique situation."

Russ Payton, process engineer, Samtec, Inc., agrees, "The ability to review all equipment exhibitors under one roof and get live demonstrations as well as get our questions answered was very helpful. Seeing the new technology offerings from processing, inspection to testing and having the exhibitors make the time to attend the IPC Midwest show is definitely worth justifying the expense."
