Press release date: November 3, 2011

HOUSTON - Kaiser Permanente in Ohio upgraded the OB-Windows Structured Reporting System at four local facilities in Cleveland Heights and Parma. The update creates a single shared database for their OB ultrasound and GYN patient studies across all four facilities. The Digisonics OB-Windows system provides Kaiser Permanente's clinicians with access to comprehensive fetal growth analysis and structured reporting for OB/GYN.

Additional OBLink interfaces and HL7 interfaces streamline connectivity between Digisonics, the ultrasound machines, and KP's EMR system, EPIC, creating an efficient electronic workflow. OBLinks facilitate autopopulation of patient biometry from Siemens Acuson and Zonare ultrasound machines directly to the OB-Windows Structured Reporting System, reducing manual entry time and preventing costly human input errors. HL7 interfaces connect the Digisonics system and EPIC EMR for Orders In and Results Out. DigiLink, an add-on to the HL7 Results Out interface, enables users to view the finalized report directly in EPIC by embedding a URL to a PDF copy of the Digisonics report, preserving them in the original structured format for easy review.

About Digisonics, Inc.

The OB-View Image Management and Reporting System combines high-performance image analysis, PACS image archive, integrated clinical database, comprehensive fetal growth analysis and automated growth curves, and professional, concise reporting into one complete system. An additional OBLink interface provides autopopulatation of reports with patient demographics and measurements, saving data entry time and eliminating entry errors. Users will also have fully functional web-based access to their OB/GYN studies for image review and report editing via OB-View Net.
