CARROLLTON, TX (January 29, 2008) -- TT electronics OPTEK Technology, a leading global manufacturer of LED components and arrays, has received two Innova Awards from LED Journal. OPTEK received first place in the categories of Best Technology and Industry Leadership for its 1-watt LED package and visible LED lab, respectively.

OPTEK's visible LED lab houses the equipment necessary to provide the complete solution, from design evaluation through end product.

The OVTL01LGAxS 1-watt surface mount LED package features high luminance, a full 140° viewing angle, water clear lenses, and is available in blue, green, red, cool white (7,000K) and daylight white (5,500K). The device is constructed with extended leads for increased stability on the printed circuit board.
In addition to LED components and assemblies, OPTEK designs and manufactures standard and custom solutions for optoelectronic components, fiber optic devices and magnetic sensors for a variety of markets including medical, military, industrial, commercial and automotive.
