PHOENIX, Ariz. - Oct. 25, 2005 - As part of its ongoing commitment to effectively support its customers world-wide, ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq - ONNN) has launched a re-designed corporate website with improved access to product information, design support materials, and both product availability status and budgetary pricing quotes.
"A well-designed website is a major tactical and strategic asset in today's highly competitive semiconductor marketplace," said Ross Ayotte, director of Brand Management and Corporate Marketing at ON Semiconductor. "The web touches every aspect of our customers' design processes, from early information gathering right up through the placing of orders. More than half of searches for new products begin online, and all of them end there.
"To address this, we asked our customers to outline their needs and preferences - and in effect "define" the site from an engineer's perspective. They were very clear and very specific: They wanted to be able to get in, easily find whatever it was they needed - be it product details, design tools, product availability or pricing - and then get out. We believe we have delivered a site that meets their specs - a truly user-friendly online environment for busy design engineers."

The updated www.onsemi.com Home page puts design engineers no more than two 'clicks' away from specific product information and full parametric data. The "Design Support" page offers a comprehensive list of links to critical support materials - including evaluation boards, simulation tools, reference designs and more.
An expanded "parametric" search capability gives designers and purchasing agents tremendous flexibility in searching for products to meet their specific needs. Additionally, it enables them to simply compare functionality among similar products. This new parametric search function enables the user to filter the table on all parametric data - from voltage and temperature rangers to packages offerings. Basically, users can add and delete columns of information, reorder columns and download the results to either a spreadsheet or a database.
Another core improvement is that the website's overall "keyword" search capability has been greatly refined and expanded. Now, using only keywords, customers can quickly locate all relevant part numbers, design support materials, documents and press announcements related to the products they are researching.
As before, visitors to the www.onsemi.com have product availability, pricing and ordering functions literally at their fingertips. And, in addition to helpful cross-reference data, product end-of-life announcements and replacement recommendations are easily accessed.
