Precision Water jet technology and robotics combined to enhance lean manufacturing practices
Kent, Washington, July 17, 2006 - OMAX® Corporation, the pioneer of high-quality, precision waterjet machining systems, will be featured in the Automated Concepts, Inc. booth at IMTS 2006, #A-8442. OMAX's 2652 will be an integral part of an automated cell demonstration that will manufacture familiar childhood games, including a triangular peg board puzzle and Tic Tac Toe.
IMTS attendees will see the latest trends demonstrating precision abrasive waterjet machining and robotic unloading of nested products in the Automated Concepts booth. Live demonstrations, consisting of taking raw material from start and ending with finished pieces will highlight the newest innovations in automation and technology. The booth will offer attendees a 360-degree view into a simulated shop floor offering the ability to see the products at work.
The 2652 is one of two smaller-footprint abrasivejet machines produced by OMAX. The 2652 can cut quick turnaround parts for the general machine shop from a wide variety of metals, plastics, glass, stone and composites.
In addition to the collaboration with Automated Concepts, OMAX will also feature two of its premiere JetMachining® Centers, the 2626|xp and the 80160 in their booth, B-6235 in the Metalforming & Fabricating/Lasers pavilion.
