GARDEN GROVE, CA - OK International, a leading global supplier of soldering tools and equipment for production assembly, announces it will exhibit in booth #617 at the upcoming SMTA International Conference and Expo, scheduled to take place Tuesday October 16 and Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL.
Highlighted at the show will be the industry favorite Scorpion Rework System, which meets the challenges of array package rework and the accurate placement of ball grid arrays (BGAs), in particular, while allowing for simultaneous viewing of printed circuit board (PCB) pads and component pads or balls.
Additionally, it provides accurate component placement and can create specifically tailored reflow profiles through OK International's unique convection heating technology with nozzle and dual-zone preheater in one user-friendly, single platform rework system.
The Scorpion Rework System incorporates numerous features that ease the learning curve for new operators while providing the power and performance expected from more experienced users. The patent pending SmartPlace Technology vision system employs dual image overlay technology providing an image of the solder balls and PCB patterns without the need for complicated prism alignment. The system is completely self-contained and ready to use once it is plugged into a power outlet.
Also at the show will be the BVX-200 Series Fume Extraction Systems. These systems are revolutionary two-arm units that combine powerful fan performance with efficient filtration, quiet operation and complete portability. They can be placed under or next to the bench-top and fitted with either two 50mm (2") diameter BVX arms or one 63mm (2.5") diameter Omniflex arm.
Using the proven fan motor of the BVX-100 Series Fume Extraction Systems, the BVX-200 Series Fume Extractions Systems add a proprietary one-stage impeller design that doubles the total free-blowing airflow.
The result is a maximum free-blowing airflow of 250m3/h (150cfm), with a maximum suction force of 850 Pa (3.5"WC). This suction force provides ample capability in reserve to handle any clogging that may occur during the normal life of the filter. It is, in fact, the suction rating for this unit is one of the best in its class offered for such compact and portable systems.
The new MX-5200 Series Soldering and Rework System will also be on display. The MX-5200 offers the same increased productivity and process control as the MX-5000 Series, but now with dual-simultaneous operation. The MX-5200 can be used by two operators at the same time adding even more application flexibility with a choice of four hand-pieces.
