ODVA selects organization leadership for 2011-2012.

May 16, 2011 - Directors constituting ODVA's Board as it enters its 15th term include Cyril Perducat of Schneider Electric, Frank Kulaszewicz of Rockwell Automation, Michael Höing of Weidmüller Interface, Chet Namboodri of Cisco Systems, Ryuji Yamasaki of Omron, and Bernd-Josef Schäfer of Bosch Rexroth. Board has re-appointed director Cyril Perducat to serve as ODVA's president, director Frank Kulaszewicz as treasurer, Richard Harwell as CTO, and senior staff member Katherine Voss as executive director.

Board of Directors includes executive leadership from many of the world's leading automation companies including Bosch Rexroth, Cisco Systems, Rockwell Automation, Omron, Schneider Electric and Weidmüller

Ann Arbor, Mich. - ODVA, the organization that supports network technologies built on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP(TM)) - DeviceNet(TM), EtherNet/IP(TM), CompoNet(TM), and ControlNet(TM), has selected its leadership for its 15th term. These selections were made in March 2011 at ODVA's annual meetings of its board and of its members in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

Directors constituting ODVA's Board, as it enters its 15th term, include:

o Cyril Perducat, senior vice president for Plant Solutions and System Consistency at Schneider Electric

o Frank Kulaszewicz, senior vice president for Architecture and Software at Rockwell Automation

o Michael Höing, vice president for Electronics Business at Weidmüller Interface

o Chet Namboodri, global director for Manufacturing for Industry Solutions and Marketing at Cisco Systems

o Ryuji Yamasaki, general manager for Drives Development (Industrial Automation Business) for Omron

o Bernd-Josef Schäfer, executive vice president for Engineering and Manufacturing (Electric Drives and Controls) for Bosch Rexroth, who is joining ODVA's board for his first term as a director

ODVA's Board has re-appointed director Cyril Perducat to serve as ODVA's president, director Frank Kulaszewicz as treasurer, and participant from ODVA member Eaton Electrical, Richard Harwell, as chief technology officer (CTO). Also re-appointed was ODVA senior staff member, Katherine Voss, as executive director, who is responsible for general management of the organization which has headquarters in Ann Arbor, Mich., USA, and additional operations in China, Germany, Japan and Korea.

As CTO, Mr. Harwell will chair ODVA's Technical Review Board (TRB), which is comprised of representatives from ODVA's members and oversees ODVA's technical standards for its networks. ODVA's TRB in the 15th term includes returning representatives David VanGompel of Rockwell Automation, Jeff Jurs of Omron, Paul Didier of Cisco Systems, Rudy Belliardi of Schneider Electric, and Damien Leterrier of Molex. Ludwig Leurs of Bosch Rexroth and Joakim Wiberg of HMS Industrial Networks join the TRB for their first term.

"In the past term, ODVA's leadership has effectively moved the organization into critical new application areas, such as the optimization of energy usage. As a result, ODVA is helping industry to both protect and expand its investment in ODVA technologies," said Cyril Perducat, president, ODVA. "In the upcoming term, the directors and officers look forward to focusing on ODVA major initiatives in machinery and energy, along with actions to ensure the continued strength and independence of the organization, and its long term growth."

Individuals are appointed or reappointed as officers, directors or TRB representatives for one term, as defined from one annual meeting of the organization's members to its next annual meeting. Both ODVA's board of directors and its TRB hold regular meetings throughout the term as required to fulfill their responsibilities to the organization.
