Nypro Elects Ted Lapres President & CEO


CLINTON MA USA -- MEDICAL INDUSTRY E-MAIL NEWS SERVICE(TM) -- JULY 20 2006 -- Theodore E. Lapres III has been elected President & CEO of Nypro Inc., effective immediately. He had been acting president since Feb 2006. Gordon B. Lankton, Chairman of the Board, made the announcement.

Ted Lapres has served as Nypro's CFO/VP of Finance and a member of the Nypro Inc. Board of Directors. He joined Nypro in 1988 as corporate controller. Previous employers include Jiffy Packaging and Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Lapres is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. He is also president of the Nypro Foundation.

Mr. Lankton noted, "The Board of Directors of Nypro Inc. has overseen a 6-month search to identify the right person to lead Nypro and to further our successful 50-year record into the future. During this period, Ted and his leadership team of seasoned managers have reorganized the company into market segments that bring us closer to our customers, consolidated businesses, created a new opportunity for diversity supply and enhanced profitability in the company's first billion-dollar year. The Board and I look forward to continued success led by Ted and his team."
