WALTHAM, Mass. - Oct. 4, 2007 - Furthering its commitment to delivering a single, real-time view of security and compliance activities across the enterprise, Novell today announced it has released a new service pack to improve its Sentinel 6 security information and event management (SIEM) product. Sentinel from Novell helps make sense out of collected event data, identifies security or compliance issues, and tracks remediation activities, streamlining previously error-prone processes and building a more rigorous and secure management program.
The Sentinel 6 service pack incorporates enhancements such as: o Improved graphical displays that increase usability and performance o A feature-rich data-collector-builder engine that makes creating collectors easier, quicker and improves deployment o The ability to export raw, unaltered log data to a text file, which is useful for debugging and testing data collection o Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 on x86_64 hardware
Sentinel 6 from Novell gathers and correlates security and non-security information from across an organization's networked infrastructure, including data from identity and access management products such as Novell Identity Manager and Novell Access Manager, as well as third-party systems, devices and applications.
