Northrop Grumman Appoints Ed Halibozek, Tim McKnight as Vice Presidents

LOS ANGELES, July 6, 2006 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) today announced the appointment of Ed Halibozek as vice president of corporate security and Tim McKnight as vice president of information security.

Both appointments are effective immediately. Halibozek reports to Ian V. Ziskin, corporate vice president and chief human resources and administrative officer. McKnight reports to Ziskin as well as Tom Shelman, sector vice president of information technology solutions, and the company's chief information officer.

"The importance of integrating security responsibilities has never been greater than it is right now," said Ziskin. "These executives and their organizations will work closely together to help ensure the security of Northrop Grumman's employees and information assets."

In his new position, Halibozek will continue to work from the company's Los Angeles headquarters, where he is responsible for the oversight of all company-wide security programs. Halibozek also chairs the Northrop Grumman Security Council, working to develop a common, company-wide approach to addressing security strategies, processes, issues and problems. In addition, he is responsible for developing and implementing security processes that protect the people, information and property at the corporate office locations.

Halibozek joined the company in 1985 and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as corporate director of security, as well as manager of security for Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems sector. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in criminal justice from California State University, Long Beach, and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, Calif.

Based in Linthicum, Md., McKnight will be responsible for developing the information protection vision and strategy of Northrop Grumman's unclassified corporate network, defining companywide information security policies and enhancing the security of the company's products, services and infrastructures. He continues to work with the company's eight operating sectors to implement information security strategies and processes.

McKnight came to the company in 2003 from BAE SYSTEMS North America, where he was corporate director of Information Security. Earlier, he was a corporate information security program manager for Cisco Systems and an FBI special agent working on infrastructure protection, corporate espionage and foreign counterintelligence. He holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, N.J., and he has completed graduate courses at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, N.Y., and Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Del.
