Northern California City Selects Tyler Technologies' Munis ERP Solution

Hayward, Calif., modernizes its technology with Tyler's ERP Solution

DALLAS - Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with the city of Hayward, Calif., for Tyler's Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Hayward conducted a thorough request for proposal (RFP) process before selecting Tyler's Munis ERP solution to replace an antiquated system that was more than 25-years-old and lacked features and integration commonly found in modern technology.

"The city used internal teams to evaluate ERP solution providers and systems and ultimately chose Tyler Technologies because their Munis solution best suited our needs," said Clancy Priest, Hayward's director of information technology. "Tyler's Munis will assist Hayward with its day-to-day business processes to help us become more effective and efficient in our service delivery to our constituents. We expect Munis to modernize our business methodology and bring us into the 21st century."

Located in central Alameda County, Hayward is the sixth largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area. The city has invested in a wide range of Munis applications, including financial management, human capital management, utility billing, content management and self service for vendors, clients and employees. The agreement includes software licenses, related professional services, maintenance and support.

"As the largest sole provider of software and services for the public sector, Tyler's solutions are designed with our end-users in mind to help them better serve their citizens and other constituents," said Richard E. Peterson Jr., president of Tyler's ERP & School Division. "Hayward can depend on Munis to keep their processes current because our products are continually enhanced at no extra cost to the client under our evergreen philosophy, guaranteeing their ERP solution will never again be obsolete."
