Norplex-Micarta Appoints Manufacturing Engineer
POSTVILLE, IA - Norplex-Micarta, the leading manufacturer of high performance thermoset composites, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Janda to the position of Manufacturing Engineer at the company's Postville, IA headquarters. Mr. Janda's responsibilities will include proposing and implementing changes to materials and processes to meet customer needs, providing technical manufacturing support for new product development, and writing new equipment specifications and proving equipment capabilities.
As Manufacturing Engineer, Mr. Janda will assist in problem solving activities, particularly in the areas of resin compounding, substrate treating and laminate pressing. He will also work to reduce scrap throughout the organizations' processes and perform safety reviews of process improvements. Mr. Janda holds a Bachelors of Science in Composite Material Engineering from Winona State University.
