DULUTH, Georgia - November 7, 2007, Linda Ray recently joined Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) as global business development manager for new markets in the Adhesive Systems Group. Ray will be based in Duluth, Georgia, reporting to Eric Luftig, global marketing manager, Adhesive Systems Group.
In her new position, Ms. Ray will be responsible for identifying, assessing and managing new opportunities that leverage current and developing Nordson technologies across new markets worldwide.
"Linda has strong experience in developing industry value assessments and identifying strategic business development opportunities," says Luftig. "Her expertise in new market development complements our strategic growth goals and will strengthen our worldwide leadership position in material dispensing."
Ray Comes to Nordson from Lafarge North America where she had strategic and business development responsibilities. She spent four years in positions of increasing marketing and product line management responsibility within the Optical Fiber division at Corning Incorporated, and six years as an officer in the United States Air Force. She holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in business administration, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
