The Non-Return Hard Drive Offering enables you to maintain the security of data on your computer hard drives by helping to prevent the possible distribution of sensitive and confidential data.
The problem: Occasionally hard drives fail during the warranty period. New technology sometimes allows sensitive and confidential data to be recovered from a failed drive.
The solution: Let customers keep their failed hard drive and receive a replacement hard drive while under warranty.
The Non-Return Hard Drive Offering is available for ThinkPad® and ThinkCentre® systems. This offering is only available at the time a new machine is purchased and for the term of the machine's base warranty or optional warranty extension period for up to four years.

The Non-Return Hard Drive Offering is available in the U.S. only under the applicable terms for purchase. When this offering is purchased, Lenovo allows the end user customer to retain the defective hard drive when replaced with a new hard drive under the terms and conditions of the Lenovo Statement of Limited Warranty.
