Press release date: November 3, 2011

Minneapolis, Minn., U.S.A. - Despatch Industries, a leading technology and equipment provider for the solar industry, and Nice Sun PV Co., Ltd, a company committed to the R&D, manufacturing, sales and after-service of solar photovoltaic products, announce that Nice Sun has realized a 0.1 percent improvement in overall cell efficiency in high volume production through the use of Despatch's patent-pending SolectFire(TM) technology. Nice Sun and Despatch have partnered to demonstrate the benefits of SolectFire(TM) for manufacturing Nice Sun's most advanced 18.8% efficiency monocrystalline solar cells.

"We are very pleased with the efficiency and performance results of our high-volume SolectFire(TM) production testing with Nice Sun," states John Farrell, Managing Director, Despatch Solar Business Unit. "SolectFire(TM) was specifically designed to help our customers realize the highest possible efficiencies on standard and next generation cell architectures. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Nice Sun and working with them to demonstrate the benefits of SolectFire(TM) technology on their next-generation N-type cell structures."

SolectFire(TM) is Despatch's most recent CF Series advancement and is available on new firing furnaces and as an upgrade to existing CF Series equipment. New SolectFire(TM) technology opens the firing process window and gives the operator control of the top and bottom of each firing zone. Each side of the cell can also be fired at different temperatures. The innovative decoupling technology allows solar cell manufacturers to make specific adjustments and modifications to their firing profiles to accommodate different types of pastes and cell architectures. SolectFire(TM) provides ultimate control and flexibility in optimizing firing performance and results in producing higher efficiency cells.

"Nice Sun manufactures some of the highest efficiency monocrystalline solar cells available in the market today," states Mr. Zhu, Nice Sun General Manager. "Through our cooperation with Despatch and the use of SolectFire(TM), we have been able to achieve greater efficiencies in high volume production and improve our overall performance. SolectFire(TM) technology provides the advantage of a wider firing process window and more precise temperature control for manufacturing our new generation high efficiency solar cells."
