Press release date: September 11, 2008

Nashua, NH - September 11, 2008 - NextComputing announces the availability of NVIDIA's Quadro® FX 4600 SDI and Quadro® FX 5600 SDI on its portable, NextDimension Evo HD workstation. Equipped with dual, quad-core processors from AMD or Intel, the compact Evo HD is an ideal hardware platform for production field work with powerful applications such as IRIDAS' SpeedGrade XR, or RT Software's tOG suite of real-time 3D broadcast graphics software.

Broadcast, video, and film professionals engaged in editing, compositing, and color grading benefit from the advanced features of NVIDIA Quadro® FX 5600 SDI and Quadro® FX 4600 SDI graphics cards. These next-generation graphics-to-video-out solutions are made portable with the Evo HD. This is an ideal solution for live sports production, reducing time for setup and breakdown and allowing use of a single system for multiple events. RT Software utilizes the portable solution for their tOG suite of real-time 3D broadcast graphics software.

"RT Software is committed to providing broadcasters with the very best live graphics possible and has worked exclusively with NVIDIA to consistently achieve that goal since our inception 4 years ago. The support of the NVIDIA Quadro FX SDI boards in NextComputing's small foot print chassis means our customers are not compromised when quality of output is required within the constraints of highly mobile solutions. We are delighted to be shipping this solution and will have one on show at IBC in Amsterdam." Mike Fredriksen, Commercial Director, RT Software.

SpeedGrade XR, a recently launched color correction application from IRIDAS, offers the industry's only GPU-based de-Bayering of RAW footage for real-time review and grading. Designed to work as a companion system for the latest digital cinema cameras, SpeedGrade XR is the only application offering filmmakers instant access to all available RAW formats. The NVIDIA Quadro® FX 4600 and 5600 SDI boards from PNY provide the critical graphics hardware for SpeedGrade XR, and NextComputing has certified its NextDimension Evo HD portable workstations for the applications.

"The NextDimension Evo HD provides a powerful and astonishingly compact hardware platform for working with RAW content at HD and 2K," said Lin Kayser, IRIDAS CEO. "Integrating these technologies into the production workflow allows filmmakers to make critical creative decisions up front, saving time and money in post-production. SpeedGrade XR, together with the EVO HD is exactly the kind of practical solution today's filmmakers are looking for."

IRIDAS will demonstrate the NextDimension Evo HD running SpeedGrade XR during IBC at booth 7.H2O, September 12 - 16, 2008.
