SAN JOSE, Calif., April 3 - EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE - MIPS Technologies (NASDAQ:MIPS) will showcase a wide array of industry-leading processors and embedded technologies with partners and customers targeting digital consumer, broadband, networking and portable devices. With nearly 120 licensees and more than 900 MIPS-Based(TM) designs worldwide, MIPS Technologies powers some of the world's most popular and revolutionary products for home, office and mobile markets.

Among the MIPS-Based devices featured will include home networking storage powered by Broadcom and Maxtor, Sony's PSP personal gaming system, a single-use video camcorder from CVS featuring Zoran's COACH 7 chipset, digital cameras from Canon and Toshiba, and VoIP phones from D-Link, enabled by D2 Technologies.

MIPS' presenting partners displaying a host of next-generation products in booth # 1238 include:

o Cavium Networks will showcase products from Lanner and Portwell based on its OCTEON(TM) multicore MIPS64® processor targeted at networking, communications and security applications

o Raza Microelectronics Inc. will feature products based on its Alchemy and XLR processors, including Samsung's digital media broadcast mobile TV, the Blufin combination PMP/GPS/PDA from Tinnos, and NEC's VoTol Portable Media Player with voice translation

o PMC-Sierra will display its newly-announced high performance MSP7100 Series residential gateway SoCs, integrated with the multi-threaded MIPS32® 34K(TM) core

Central to MIPS Technologies' ability to support its customers' successful design initiatives is a robust ecosystem of software, debug tools and IP. This year at ESC, the MIPS Partner Pavilion will feature several key vendors and solutions, including:

o Express Logic's ThreadX® RTOS run on MIPS' ground-breaking 34K multi-threaded core for superior processor performance

o First Silicon Solutions' Eclipse-based Navigator(TM) IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for MIPS-Based software development. FS2 is a division of MIPS Technologies, Inc.

o Green Hills Software's high performance compilers, software development tools and real-time operating systems (RTOS) for developers of MIPS-Based embedded systems

o Mentor Graphics' Seamless software debugger connects to RTL hardware to speed software execution, and identify software/hardware problems

o Sonics' SMART Interconnect(TM) solutions, used in conjunction with MIPS cores and FS2 system-level debugging tools, for improved power management and faster time-to-market

o TimeSys' LinuxLink support empowering developers of MIPS-Based SoCs to rapidly and efficiently create their own commercial-grade custom Linux platform

o Viosoft's support for RTOS-aware debugging of embedded Linux and ThreadX running on the MIPS32 24K® Malta((TM) platform

o Virage Logic's Core Optimized IP Kits supporting the 24K, 24KE(TM) and 34K core families, delivering improved performance

ESC 2007 will be held from April 1-5 at the McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, Calif. Exhibit hours are Tuesday, April 3 12:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 4 10:00 am-7:00 pm, and Thursday, April 5 10:30 am-3:30 pm.
