Nexergy Expands Electronics Design Engineering Department

ESCONDIDO, CA (USA) - Nexergy, a leading designer, integrator, and manufacturer of battery packs and chargers, announces the appointment of Zane Zhu to Electronics Design Engineer. In this position, Mr. Zhu will oversee all facets of battery pack and charger development in Nexergy's San Diego office, from cell balancing to safety circuitry to fuel gauging. This appointment reflects Nexergy's commitment to provide its customers with safe and reliable portable power sources for their electronic devices.
Mr. Zhu brings to Nexergy more than fifteen years of experience in hardware and software design, with a focus on "smart" batteries and power supplies. As a product engineer and project manager for NEXcell Battery USA of Los Angeles, California, he was responsible for multiple product engineering and manufacturing improvement projects for both industrial and commercial battery packs and chargers. And as a product engineer for Electrochem Automation, Inc., also located in Los Angeles,
Mr. Zhu was responsible for the design of precision power testing instruments for a wide array of batteries. He has also worked as a software engineer for San Diego, California-based SMK Electronics. Mr. Zhu holds a degree in Physics from Tianjin University, China, and also holds several certifications from UCLA in fields such as project management and lean manufacturing.
