November 6, 2006, San Diego, CA: Newtex Industries, a leading integrated manufacturer of high-tech, heat resistant products for industrial and safety markets, today announced the launch of its new Z-Weld welding and fire blanket protection product line. The products will be on display at the National Safety Council's Congress & Expo in San Diego from November 6-8, 2006 in Newtex's Booth #3644.

"For over 25 years, Newtex's Zetex and ZetexPlus fabrics have been trusted in the most demanding environments where welding and other hot works operations pose serious fire hazards," said Doug Bailey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "With the launch of Z-Weld, we have combined high temperature fabrics with proprietary coatings to offer a comprehensive line of products uniquely tailored to meet the needs of this rapidly growing market."

The Z-Weld line includes welding blankets and curtains to support a broad range of applications, ranging from light welding and grinding to heavy welding, metal cutting, and stress relieving. Available products include:

o Z-Drape(TM) in Salmon and Bull Dog Red, a flexible protective fabric for covering equipment and work areas o Z-Weld(TM) in White, Carmelized (Heat-cleaned 2025/9383) and Safety Orange for essential protection in light welding and grinding applications o Z-Shield(TM) Gold for the same essential protection without the airborne fibers o Z-Weld Plus(TM) for high temperature resistance of 1500°F to 2000°F o Z-Pro(TM) Black for the toughest welding environments, with its superior resistance to abrasion, slag, burn-through, and temperatures of 1500°F to 2000°F o Z-Tuff(TM) Red and Rust, a weather, water, and oil-resistant fabric for field construction o Z-Sil(TM) Bronze, a high-silica fabric for extreme temperature applications of 1800°F to 3000°F
