WHARTON, New Jersey - - Newer composite carbon fiber shaft designs significantly reduce weight on wide web air shafts
Convertech's lightweight shafts are designed specifically for wide-web lengths, and can dramatically reduce workplace injuries. In challenging economic times, and with a smaller production workforce, lighter shaft weights can be an important concern to converters.
Designed from the ground up to be the lightest and most durable 3-inch diameter shaft, Convertech's composite carbon fiber shaft is sheathed in aluminum to protect the carbon fiber and ensure maximum product life and durability. With less deflection than a typical aluminum shaft, the composite carbon fiber shaft is designed to accomodate wide web lengths and heavier loads than a typical 3-inch shaft.
For heavier loads Convertech also offers a 6-inch diameter, lightweight aluminum continuous lug shaft. Designed for any application, Convertech's lightweight continuous lug shaft is available in wide-web face lengths up to 150 inches.
Continuing to deliver core shafts and chucks faster than anyone else in the industry, Convertech easily outperforms the competition with delivery times of just a few weeks. During challenging economic times, expedited delivery (at no extra cost) can be a tremendous cost-saving measure for converters and OEMs.
