Three new machines will be launched at Pack Expo this year in a high speed demonstration of fully integrated flow wrap and top load carton packaging that makes the Bradman Lake Group booth a "must see" exhibit.
The line will run at 600 bars/min to match typical speeds of candy, cereal or bakery bar production.
Setting the pace will be the new LJ.DRT collator/loader from Bradman Lake Inc. Dual race track product collation with servo infeed and pick & place robotic loading give running speeds up to 600ppm. High performance is combined with great flexibility. The new LJ.DRT will handle a wide range of product sizes and cartons up to 700mm long, yet changeovers can take less than five minutes.
Two more new machines from Autowrappers highlight Bradman Lake Group's advances in packaging technology.
A newly developed Automatic Distribution System has a height adjustable, 1.1m wide, single belt feeding system with see-through light curtain guarding that improves product visibility and line efficiency across a wide range of products and sizes.
The ADS will align and feed bars into a new, 600 - 1000ppm, Flowtronic flow wrapper. Its state of the art electronic braking system features advanced software that continuously monitors electro-magnetic couplings. Pneumatic web reel clamps and Auto Film Tracking Unit ensure consistent tube forming and high speed film feeding.
Erecting the cartons will be an all-servo Bradman Lake AMI double-head glue former, developed in Germany, now also built at Charlotte, NC. AMI Formers will glue or lock form cartons and trays in solid or corrugated board at speeds up to 80 strokes/min, with the double header producing up to 160 carton/min.
Completing the high speed line will be the lugless Triliner Carton Closer with rubber fingered conveyors for flexible control during closing and sealing of top load cartons.
Pack Expo 2006 will again show that Bradman Lake Group is a world leader in packaging line integration. Design and supply of machinery from a single source ensures greater efficiency, better product handling and increased output.
