New Website Helps Manufacturers Enhance Wellness Programs

Site supports new GOJO® Hand Hygiene Program for Manufacturing Facilities

June 6, 2006 (AKRON, OH) With rising healthcare costs and the threat of illness outbreaks, companies are looking for ways to promote employee wellness. GOJO offers a new resource for manufacturers to help incorporate hand hygiene into their wellness programs.

The GOJO® Hand Hygiene Program for manufacturing facilities is a two-part program with proven results. Part I features PURELL®, America's #1 Instant Hand Sanitizer and helps stop the spread of germs throughout the workplace.

Part II features the GOJO skin care regimen consisting of GOJO HAND MEDIC® professional Skin Conditioner and hand cleaners to improve skin condition and help prevent occupational dermatitis.

The site, Manufacturing.gojo.com, features several resources for industrial hygienists, safety directors and human resource personnel including the GOJO skin Care Learning Lab with information on contact dermatitis, the causes and consequences of the disease, how to prevent the disease and the do's and don'ts of skin care.

Visitors can peruse the product placement guide for help determining which products should be used in which areas of the plant. In addition, visitors can check the Application/Recommendation Chart for help with removing a specific type of soil. This section should be used as a general guideline for product suggestions. GOJO recommends a Needs Analysis to maximize the effectiveness of a customized program. A Needs Analysis is a complete survey of skin risks, irritants, type of work performed and locations, and is conducted onsite by a GOJO representative.

The site also includes a Resources guide with links to leading industry websites. Visitors to the site can sign up for a free e-newsletter that helps them stay informed of hand hygiene compliance issues, products and programs.
