New Video from Eriez® Provides Instructions for Tuning Small Vibratory Feeders
Erie, PA - A new video from Eriez® demonstrates the basic concepts for tuning Eriez’ small vibratory feeders. In the video, Rob Yandrick, Product Manager-Vibratory/Screening, explains that tuning a vibratory feeder is the means of mechanically adjusting the unit, with its tray, to the desired displacement at full voltage. While the video demonstration features Eriez’ 46-C and HS-46 Vibratory Feeders, Yandrick clarifies that the same guidelines apply to all Eriez compact vibratory feeders.
According to the video, tuning is accomplished by changing the stiffness of the tuning spring stack. The stiffness is adjusted by adding or subtracting leaf springs and/or increasing or decreasing spring thickness. Yandrick walks viewers through the entire tuning process from start to finish, offering detailed instructions and helpful tips along the way.
