CAMDEN, SOUTH CAROLINA (December 12, 2008) - The UBT-B2 Universal(TM) Burnishing Tool is a new boring bar-style burnishing tool recently introduced by Cogsdill Tool Products. A smaller version of the original UBT-B1, the B2 is intended for use on smaller machines and in smaller bores greater than 1.50 inches (38mm).
Universal Burnishing Tool designs are available from Cogsdill for use on any part size or configuration, on any turning machine. The tools generate low surface finishes on shafts, faces, tapers, contours, and large IDs. The tools utilize a single hardened steel or carbide burnishing roll, and are adjustable for optimum burnishing pressure.
