New Sundyne China Manufacturing Plant Begins Pump Product Shipments

ARVADA, Colo.- Sundyne Corp., a subsidiary of Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, today announced the scheduled shipment of the first production run of centrifugal sealless magnetic drive pumps from its new factory in Tianjin, China. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

In early 2012, Sundyne brought a new manufacturing plant online in Tianjin, marking the first expansion into the region for the Colorado-based manufacturer of API standard integrally-geared pumps and compressors for use in oil and gas processing, as well as industrial applications relating to refining, petrochemical, chemical production and engineered water. The new Sundyne China facility is now fully operational, with its first order of Sundyne sealless magnetic drive pumps scheduled to ship in late-June.

"This represents a significant milestone in expanding Sundyne into refining and chemical processing plants in China," said Sundyne President Jeff Wiemelt. "Sundyne has conducted business in China for decades; we are taking advantage of the explosive in-country growth by making significant investments in local infrastructure and sales."

The Sundyne China facility is packaging pumps and compressors with local content. Core, highly-engineered pumps and compressors will be engineered and fabricated in the United States and Europe, then packaged in the new facility for distribution solely in China. "There is significant demand in this huge marketplace, so we will take advantage of our ability to produce highly-engineered products and bring them to market locally," explained Shawn Olson, general manager of Americas Sundyne.

With manufacturing facilities located in the United States, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, the Tianjin plant represents the growing influence of Sundyne Corporation as a global leader in delivering cutting-edge fluid handling equipment.
