New Range Guide from Enersys Details Complete Line of Genesis EP Batteries


READING, Pa., August 2006 -- EnerSys, the world's largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of industrial batteries, today announced it has just published a new range guide for its line of high-performance Genesis EP batteries, which are ideal for demanding environmental and cycling application such as electronics, medical equipment, lawn and garden equipment and telecommunications.

The range guide details the performance features of the Genesis EP thin plate pure lead (TPPL) battery line, which include a float life of 10 years at 25°C (77°F), a two-year shelf life at 25°C (77°F), more than 300 full depth of discharge (DOD) cycles, superior deep discharge recovery and a high rate charge and discharge.

The two-page guide summarizes the line's 12-volt pure lead-tin VRLA AGM design, its rugged construction, which allows the batteries to be installed in any orientation (except inverted), its M6 female no maintenance terminals and its UL 94V0 flame retardant case and cover. The guide also describes the line of batteries as UL listed and certified non-hazardous and non-spillable by US DOT and IATA for unrestricted, safe shipping.

In addition, the range guide contains the specifications for each Genesis EP battery. Details consist of nominal voltage, nominal capacity, length, width, height and weight, as well as torque, internal resistance, short circuit current, constant current discharge performance and constant power discharge performance.
