For Delphin Modular Data Acquisition Devices and High-Performance Cards
CHESTERLAND OH - CAS DataLoggers in partnership with Delphin has announced a new upgrade for ProfiSignal software along with a new release for ProfiMessage data acquisition system firmware. These new improvements offer users increased functionality to configure on the fly, improved firmware for RS232 serial ports and support for powerful modules including AMDT and ADFT cards.
The new ProfiSignal upgrade features a new option terminal server. Additionally, in the Script programming language, a new objectfunction is available: 'Set Configuration of Expert Key Analog Input'. This allows users to build a control panel on the PC to dynamically configure the analog input channels of the Expert Key. Now there's no more need for canned applications to configure the system-users can now build their own applications window to handle configurations. Several user-reported bugs have also been fixed.
The new RS232 version of the Delphin ProfiMessage firmware includes improved firmware for the serial ports as well as modifications allowing usage of AMDT and ADFT modules. The upgrade now supports AMDT modules, vibration analysis cards featuring onboard signal processing hardware, and also supports ADFT modules, high-speed data acquisition cards providing parallel analog measurements. Only one module can be used in a single Message system--one module per bus. The device's serial interfaces will be implemented soon.
ProfiMessage systems are the latest generation in the Message family of systems used around the world in many different data logging, data acquisition and testing applications. These sophisticated devices see frequent use in the fields of process technology, test engineering, and research and development. ProfiMessage devices process any signal quickly and reliably from just a few thermocouples right up to thousands of measurement points spread over several plant areas.
The new versions are now available for download at ftp://support.delphin.de/ProfiSignalCDContent_V_3_1_4.zip. Given the number of parallel downloads, the file may take a while to fully transfer. After installation, users will find files for the firmware update for the following Delphin devices:
Expert Key: ProfiSignalFirmwareExpert_Key
ProfiMessage: ProfiSignalFirmwareProfiMessage
TopMessage: ProfiSignalFirmwareTopMessage
The complete English online documentation for ProfiSignal software will be available in April/May. This documentation will also contain the complete description of the ProfiSignal Klicks script language.
