New ParkerSlick Alternate Seal Coating

New ParkerSlick Alternate Seal Coating Has Better Adhesion and Friction
Properties Than Standard Polytetrafluoroethylene Coatings.

LEXINGTON, KY, March 11, 2008 - Parker Hannifin's O-ring Division is now offering a new external seal coating as an alternative to standard polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coatings. ParkerSlick, like PTFE coatings, comes in various colors, from clear to medium green to black. But unlike PTFE coatings, ParkerSlick doesn't leave behind residue, does not rub off easily and has better adhesion and friction properties.

Parker testing shows that ParkerSlick requires only half the insertion and exertion force as most other 75 durometer fluorocarbons tested. ParkerSlick is not recommended in every application and should be discussed with engineering before use.

For a test report or additional information on this innovative coating, please contact our application engineers at 859-335-5101. To order additional copies of Parker's Parker Slick bulletin, call Catalog Services at 1-440-205-7799 and reference bulletin ORD 5751.
