ComNet Introduces ComWorx VL at ASIS 2010
Dallas, TX. ComNet, Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, is introducing the ComWorx VL line to satisfy the demand for a cost-effective line of Ethernet transmission products. This line consists of Ethernet media converters, a new Ethernet-over-coaxial-cable (EoVDSL) product and managed Ethernet switches. The new ComWorx VL line is the company's entry into Ethernet products that are commercial-rated and designed for benign operating environments. The entire ComWorx VL line has been released for sale.
"This new product line is the result of demand for Ethernet equipment that did not require the same level of environmental hardening offered by the traditional ComNet ComWorx product line," states Andrew Acquarulo Jr., ComNet President and COO. "In many security applications, Ethernet equipment is installed in locations where temperature extremes are rare. The ComWorx VL meets those commercial environmental requirements and can offer the user cost savings in the process ", said Acquarulo.
