New Leadership for Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Safety Positions Business for Future Growth


ROSWELL, Ga. (September 7, 2010) - As part of the continuing expansion of its $350 million Global Safety business, Kimberly-Clark Professional announces a new leadership team.

Taking on global leadership for the business, Gil Madrid assumes the role of Vice President, Kimberly-Clark Professional Global Safety, and David St-Hilaire is appointed Senior Director, North American Safety.

Madrid most recently served as Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Vice President, Kimberly-Clark Professional Workplace Business, based in Europe. He joined the company in 1992 and has held a variety of sales management, business strategy and market development positions within the company over his 18-year tenure.

St-Hilaire brings a strong background in channel and market development to the North American role, most recently serving as Director of Channel Development for Kimberly-Clark Professional. He began his career with the company in 1980, working in both Canada and the U.S., and subsequently holding a variety of sales management and business leadership roles.

Madrid and St-Hilaire join Randy Kates, Director of Kimberly-Clark Professional's Global Scientific Business, a global leader in cleanroom and research solutions in the growing pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences and semiconductor markets. Kates has been with Kimberly-Clark Professional for more than 20 years and has a wealth of business management experience in industrial wiping solutions and workplace safety products. Together, this team brings more than three-quarters of a century worth of expertise to the leadership of these businesses.
