Samtec, Inc.

New Albany, IN, 47151 1147
USA

Press release date: November 1, 2005

A new brochure from Samtec gives a quick overview of the company's growing product line and capabilities. Samtec offers end-to-end interconnect system solutions for Signal Integrity, Rugged, and Micro interconnects.

Focus product categories include:

1. Signal Integrity Systems - Signal Integrity At Any Distance(TM) - From 3mm to 3 meters including both signal integrity products and services. 2. Rugged Systems - Rugged From the Outside In(TM) - Samtec's line of rugged products includes a new AccliMate(TM) line of sealed circular cable plug assemblies and receptacle. 3. Micro Systems - Samtec is the industry leader in flexible standard and custom board-to-board interconnects. Four interconnect applications are common to each of these focus product categories:

1. Panel-To-Panel - These are "box-to-box" interconnect systems consisting primarily of rugged and high speed cable plug assemblies that connect self-contained components to each other. 2. Panel-To-Board - These are receptacles and assemblies that connect the outside of the box to the inside. 3. Cable-To-Board - Samtec has a full line of IDC, high speed, discrete wire, flex, and RF cable assemblies for cable-to-board applications. 4. Board-To-Board - Samtec has more ways to connect two or more boards than anybody in the industry. Each product category (Signal Integrity, Rugged and Micro) is considered an individual strand in a "weave". Each strand is complete on its own; however, the strands overlap and are able to be interlaced to provide unique solutions with either standard products or customs. Samtec is able to provide high speed interconnects, the best signal integrity support in the industry, the ability to design, characterize, and build flex circuits, high speed cables and connectors, I/O and RF systems, and rugged connector systems going from board-to-board inside of a box, or from one box to another, all in one stop.

The foundation of these product categories and applications is Samtec Sudden Service.
