New Instrumentation at CHEMIR: Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)

CHEMIR is proud to announce the addition of Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), a thermal analysis technique applied to investigations involving plastic product failures, quality concerns and manufacturing problems. This latest acquisition is part of CHEMIR’s expanding resources for polymer testing and problem-solving.
DMA is a sensitive method used for measuring the physical characteristics of polymers and determining elastic recovery and stiffness, resistance to permanent deformation, polymer transitions, thermoset cure, end use properties and stress/strain response at programmed temperatures. CHEMIR applies DMA analysis to polymer films, sheets, composites, thermosets, foams, elastomers, adhesives, fibers and more.
“This tool proves useful for our clients investigating problems with medical devices, packaging, diagnostics, consumer products and more,” says Christopher Andren, Technical Specialist of CHEMIR. “DMA is a significant addition to our extensive list of analytical instrumentation.”
