Bloomfield, NJ --- NTE Electronics, Inc. has announced a major addition of new high power wirewound types to its popular line of resistors. These reliable, high-quality products include:
o Round Silicone Wirewound Ceramic in 1, 3, 5, and 10 Watt Versions These wirewound power resistors provide high performance at low cost. They feature a high temperature silicone coating with complete welded construction. They also provide excellent stability in operation and exhibit a high power to size ratio.
o Fixed Vitreous Wirewound Types in 12, 25, 50, 100 and 225 Watt Versions Constructed with ceramic cores and terminated with welded terminals, these resistors are wound with the finest alloy resistance wires welded to the terminals. A special formula of vitreous enamel coating is used to insulate the resistor. This construction insures long life, durability and reliability.
o Adjustable Vitreous Wirewound Types in 12, 25, 50, 100 and 225 Watt Versions These power resistors are also constructed with ceramic cores and terminated with welded terminals. They are wound with the finest alloy resistance wires welded to the terminals and use a special formula of vitreous enamel coating for insulation. A section of the windings are made bare to enable the use of a band terminal that implements the adjustment function. This construction insures long life, durability and reliability.
o Adjustable and Fixed Vitreous Edgewound in 300 Watts Designed for applications demanding maximum power dissipation in minimum space, these resistors are constructed of special alloy resistance wire, crimped and wound on the edge. High quality ceramic cores are used along with a coating of vitreous enamel.
o Surface Mount Wirewound in 1, 2 and 4 Watt Versions These power resistors serve today's expanding usage of surface mount circuitry. Their low profile design uses a welded wirewound element for higher resistance. They feature high power handling (up to 4 watts), low temperature coefficient, superior surge handling capability, and a high temperature molded construction.
These new quality resistors join NTE's already popular line which also includes flameproof metal film, fusible power oxide, aluminum housed, and 1% tolerance.
