Kevin Piper joins APX Enclosure. As part of APX's expanding business, we will add electrical design and installation of electronic controls and power distribution for a wide range of applications. Kevin joins the team after serving 3 years as a sales applications engineer for Square D's controls division. Prior to Square D, he served 15 years as lead electro/mechanical engineer at a world class semiconductor manufacturer, designing and fabricating custom machines and systems. Applications include material handling, dimensional machining, compaction methods, assembly, packaging, and quality control testing.
Kevin's education includes mechanical and electrical engineering technology from the University of Maryland. Controls for the following types of applications are now available at APX: Motor controls (VFDs' or across the line starters for fans, pumps, conveyors, etc.), Power distribution (Lighting, etc.), sensors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, pressure, temperature, battery applications / storage and application assistance for all mentioned.
