Kent, Ohio...Kent Elastomer Products, Inc., a division of Meridian Industries, Inc., and a leading provider of dip-molded parts for the medical, dental, and industrial markets, announces that it has acquired the dip-molded product line from Hospira, Inc.
The acquisition of the new product line has added new dipping technology and equipment to Kent's already extensive capabilities. Kent Elastomer now also has the ability to produce dip-molded parts in new materials such as synthetic polyisoprene and metal impregnated compounds.
Murray Van Epp, President of Kent Elastomer, said, "We are very excited at the opportunity to enhance our capabilities in dip-molded products. This acquisition allows us to broaden our product offerings to include bellows, specialty gloves, neck seals, and a variety of other unique shapes."
In order for Kent Elastomer to accommodate the additional equipment, inventory, inspection, personnel, and technology, the company has expanded its facilities in Kent and Winesburg, Ohio. A 4,000 square foot addition has been added to the Kent facility while substantial infrastructure updates have been completed on both the company's Kent and Winesburg facilities.
