New Catalog Features Snap Mount Large Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

High Ripple Current Capability

United Chemi-Con, Inc., Rosemont, IL, new specialty catalog is introducing four new series of snap mount aluminum electrolytic capacitors specifically designed for higher ripple current applications featuring very long life within a wide temperature range and high voltage ratings.

The four series are designated the U91F, U92F, U92L and the U92X. Of the four, the U91F is a high temperature series with a lifetime rating of 5000 hrs. at +105°C. The Other U92 series offer lifetime ratings of 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 hrs. respectively; all at +85°C. All lifetime ratings are measured with rated ripple current applied at max. temperature rating specs. Both the U91 and U92 series are available with or without an end disc in either a standard Pb free PVC sleeve or an optional PET sleeve. PC board terminals are can be either snap-in or straight standoffs.

All series are available in a wide variety of terminal layouts in 2, 3, 4 or 5 in standard or optional configurations depending on case size. A straight standoff terminal, 5 pin configuration is an option for the larger can sizes. All four of the series operate in a voltage range of 350 – 500 volts within a temperature range of -25 to +85°C, except for the U91F with temperature range of -25 --105°C. Capacitance range is 120 – 2700uf for the U91F; 180 – 3300uf for the U92F, while the U92L and X have a range of 150- 3300uf. United Chemi-Con’s new U91 and U92 Series are RoHS compliant.
