Legendary dependability meets state-of-the-art ergonomics in the new CMV II Semi-Automatic Vertical Cartoner from R.A. Jones & Co. Inc. The new model fits rugged, "don't quit" mechanicals from industry's longest lasting cartoner with curved, clear-view guarding providing best-in-class monitoring of machine operations and ease of accessibility to machine components. Underneath the sleek stainless steel and Lexan skin, a design signature on all next-generation Jones machines, the CMV II retains the workhorse dependability of tried-and-true CMV machinery proven in more than 1500 industry installations over 50 years.
The CMV II provides a simple, economical and highly versatile solution to nearly every kind of semi-automatic packaging application. Positive carton opening and patented belt closing deliver reliable, high-output opening and closing at speeds up to 150 cartons per minute. Especially suited to variable packaging requirements, the CMV II handles a broad range of carton sizes, styles and materials, while providing quick changeovers in flexible production. A wide range of options enable custom-ordering to specific needs and provide great adaptability to future demands-even transformation into a fully automatic machine.
Toolless Kipp handles and numbered adjustment points enable fast, accurate changeover with few or no change parts. The CMV II's new ergonomic guarding-a one-piece, lift-up, clam-shell cover-provides industry-leading open access to machine elements to further speed changeover and trouble-shooting.
The CMV II comes in 5", 6" and 8" center models, each providing wide flexibility in carton sizes. Standard models provide outputs to 120 cartons/min., with high-speed capability to 150 cartons/min. available as an option. An ergonomically designed loading platform enables comfortable hand loading in semi-automatic cartoning, while six different frame extension options-3-, 5-, 7-, 10-, 12 and 15-ft. -allow wide flexibility in loading strategies and staffing levels. Completing the versatility, the CMV II can be configured for automatic closing on many different carton styles, including standard reverse or straight tuck, fifth panels, fourth flap, shadow box partitioned, and glued end.
