This new, smaller copper brazed plate heat exchanger is another step in the launch of the next generation heat exchangers from Alfa Laval. The CB range of brazed plate heat exchangers has numerous advantages over traditional heat exchangers in HVAC and refrigeration installations.The new CB30 is a smaller version of CB60, launched in December last year. In combination with new production technology and a thinner plate material, we have taken this unit to new levels of performance, says Magnus Wessman, Portfolio and Application Manager at Alfa Laval.
The new CB30 copper brazed plate heat exchanger offers higher efficiency with a smaller heat transfer area leading to a general increase in performance capacity over its predecessors.
The new CB30 also offers less pressure drop which in turn reduces power consumption. At the same time, the CB30 retains the same interface as its successful predecessors so replacement is made easy.
CB30 offers:
Smaller HTA for the same performance capacity Less pressure drop - reduced power consumption Improved energy utilization - less material for the same duty
The new CB30 replaces CB27. The design options of the copper brazed plate heat exchanger are extensive and different stainless steel plate patterns are available for different duties and applications.
