APV Engineered Coatings
1390 Firestone Parkway
Akron, OH, 44301
USA

Press release date: November 29, 2010

AKRON, OHIO - When builders and contractors join together for the 2011 International Builders' Show, they'll easily spot The NextGen Flex Home(TM) on site at the Orlando Convention Center. Painted with "Blue Bayou" NeverFade(TM) exterior paint, and trimmed out in "Coconut" NeverFade paint, the showcase home will easily draw the attention of thousands of on-site visitors.

The professional exterior paint, which won a 2010 Most Valuable Product (MVP) Award presented by Building Products magazine and has been named a "101 Best New Remodeling and Home Building Product of 2010" by Professional Builder and Professional Remodeler magazines, is formulated with Kynar Aquatec® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin. The resin helps make the paint resistant to fading, algae, fungus, stains, abrasions and dirt. The Kynar Aquatec® is dispersed into a water-based formula for NeverFade paint, so volatile organic compounds (commonly referred to as VOCs) are drastically reduced, making NeverFade very eco-friendly. Warranted to last 15 years against fading, NeverFade is manufactured by APV Engineered Coatings in Akron, Ohio.

"NeverFade paint perfectly complements our goal of creating a showpiece home that is built green, energy efficient and safe to resist unique weather-related conditions," says Paul Barnett, president of iShow, producers of the NextGen Home Experience®.

NeverFade exterior paint has ultraviolet blockers and high quality pigments mixed with the fluoropolymer resin to further prevent against fading and chalking. It withstands harsh thermal, chemical and ultraviolet environmental conditions.

NeverFade(TM) Universal Primer was used as a first coat prior to application of the NeverFade exterior paint on the home's Nichiha fiber cement siding. The water-based primer and the exterior paint both adhere to a wide variety of substrates, including wood, stucco, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, masonry and cement panels.

Founded in Akron, Ohio in 1878, APV Engineered Coatings manufactures innovative, custom engineered products that are sold worldwide to a wide variety of industries. For more information on products and services, visit www.apvcoatings.com or call 800-772-3452.
