New Version of NetWitness Live Provides Comprehensive Content Management Across A Broad Range of Threat Intelligence and Analytics

HERNDON, Va., Sept. 13 -- NetWitness® Corporation, the world leader in real-time network forensics and next generation network security monitoring, today announced the availability of the latest version of NetWitness Live. The latest in a line of recent innovations from NetWitness, Live provides NetWitness customers with the ability to create unique content profiles containing specific threat feeds, rules, parsers, alerts and reports that have the most impact on their organization. Using NetWitness Live, security teams can leverage more deeply the collective intelligence of the global security community and fuse this information with their own network traffic. This powerful combination provides unmatched visibility into the classification of network data, attribution to enterprise users via NetWitness Identity, as well as indicators of BOT activity, suspect malware and other advanced threat characteristics.

"Attack methodologies and exploit frameworks are constantly evolving," said Brian Girardi, Vice President of Product Management at NetWitness Corporation. "The Enterprise Security Intelligence (ESI) available to security professionals increases daily, but often lacks organizational context, threat prioritization, or an actionable path for the security team. This expansion of NetWitness Live provides our customers with a unique intersection of a broad range of cyber intelligence, continuously updated threat indicators, various layers of analytics to apply to their NetWitness infrastructure, and of course, their own network data to provide a single, detailed view for making critical security and business decisions."

NetWitness Live gathers the best intelligence, analytics and content in the security community and brings it directly into the hands of security experts in order to:

o Definitively classify computers associated with botnets, command and control networks, proxies, malware and various exploits o Identify internal user identity contributing to or impacted by network events o Classify user activity and behavior o Leverage an enterprise's private intelligence and indicators critical to daily operations

NetWitness Live changes the security paradigm by illuminating the most pertinent security information relevant to an organization, and providing it with clarity and definitive detail unavailable in any other product. The new version of Live includes expanded intelligence feeds, parsers, threat indicators and reports. NetWitness is offering three tiers of service for Live, including a robust, free offering for all NetWitness customers and two subscription services that expand both capabilities and insight.

These updates to NetWitness Live are available as part of the recent release of NetWitness NextGen 9.5.
