Field Operations and Wireless Experts Present Best Practices For Field Service Optimization
SEATTLE, April 26, 2011 - NetMotion Wireless, a leading provider of mobile productivity and management software, today announced the company will participate in Field Service 2011, April 26-29, 2011. In addition to showcasing Mobility XE, a mobile VPN that maximizes enterprise worker productivity, the company will co-present with U.S. Foodservice best practices in the educational session, "More Power to the Mobile: How U.S. Foodservice Keeps Mobile Workers Connected to Create Loyal Customers."
U.S. Foodservice recognized the need to improve the mobile technology used by its field sales organization. The company's 5,000 territory managers were challenged by unreliable connections to the corporate network. Accessing data and processing customer orders was also compromised, which led to other inefficiencies. As a result of the new mobile solution, the company recouped 1.1 million hours of productivity and an additional $800,000 cost savings.
Dan Corcoran, Manager, Shared Services, U.S. Foodservice will provide valuable insights on how the company increased field productivity, decreased help desk tickets, grew sales and boosted customer satisfaction. Erik Helms, Regional Vice President, NetMotion Wireless will share his expertise in how mobile VPNs can provide persistent connections and deliver access to existing applications without modifications or customization.
"Maximizing the efficiency of our field sales organization is a natural step toward operations excellence. This implementation generated significant financial results and ultimately enabled us to deliver better customer service and build loyalty," said Dan Corcoran. "I'm looking forward to sharing with conference participants the lessons learned from this mobile deployment and our best practices."
Another NetMotion Wireless customer, Michael Kovash, Senior IT Project Manager for Cox Communications of Louisiana, will present a CIO Workshop session, "Streamlining Mobile Resources Management." Kovash will share his insights regarding the pitfalls to avoid in advancing a mobile resources platform.
