NetMotion Wireless Mobility XE 9.2 features FIPS 140-2 modules for 64-bit Windows 7 platforms
SEATTLE -- NetMotion Wireless, a leading provider of mobile productivity and management software, today announced that their flagship product, Mobility XE, a mobile VPN, is now fully compatible with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 servers and Windows 7 64-bit clients.
Mobility XE customers transitioning to Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 64-bit platforms can use the performance, security, and management features of Microsoft's most advanced 64-bit client and server operating systems to enhance mobile worker productivity, improve security, and streamline data center operations. Version 9.2 features FIPS 140-2* validated cryptographic modules for 64-bit platforms, enhanced installation, migration and management tools to speed implementation, and support for Microsoft's Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V.
"Mobility XE 9.2 helps us reduce costs by standardizing on platforms," said Carlos Leon, Network Manager, City of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. "We are now able to use device authentication to ensure that only authorized devices access our network, enabling officers to remain connected and productive, and data to remain secure. In addition, the server installation was simplified, thus reducing setup time."
"We know that many of our customers are transitioning to new server and client platforms to improve their operations. With this latest release, we're demonstrating our firm commitment to support their efforts and enable them to meet FIPS 140.2 requirements," added Pam Cory, vice president of marketing for NetMotion Wireless.
Mobility XE 9.2 is immediately available at no charge to all NetMotion Wireless customers who are current on their software maintenance agreements. Organizations interested in a trial of Mobility XE 9.2 should contact NetMotion Wireless.
