NAPCO Security Group
333 Bayview
Amityville, NY, 11701
USA

Press release date: November 1, 2007

Napco is optimizing the latest technology to transform security departments into onsite alarm monitoring receivers using campus or retail intranet. Put security staff directly online with their security system using their standard PC and intranet/internet and eliminate dedicated phone line costs.

Ideal in guard stations for faster dispatches, Napco's NetLink does not require a dedicated central station receiver. Using a PC with Napco's NetLink CS Software (NL-CSRCV) and the internet or your own intranet instead of phone lines for alarm reporting can save thousands of dollars in phone costs. Money saved can be better spent on other service and upgrade offerings. Configure NetLink for primary and/or backup reporting of alarms over a TCIP/IP based network in conjunction with telephone lines.

Napco's two alternative alarm panel NetLink internet reporting modules can be used in new and retrofit applications. They communicate alarms over the internet or intranet over a TCP/IP based network, securely using dynamic IP addressing. There is a NetLink Module for use with Napco alarm panels or any brand alarm panel. Choose from two options. Receivers may be a PCs running NetLink software or a UL-Listed, rack-mounted CPU with embedded software for more stringent monitoring.

Napco Gemini Security Systems with the NetLink module sends encrypted alarm data by zone (alarms, status, supervisories) through TCP/IP network, securely with dynamic IP addressing. What's more is NetLink's capacity for high-speed downloading via campus LAN and network-based automation support. Napco NetLink module, (NL-MOD) will allow Napco Gemini Panels, from P816 thru X255, to fully and securely communicate alarms, status, supervisories etc., pinpointed "by zone" over the internet to the central station's PC using secure 128bit encryption. At the central monitoring office, the panel module source is immediately received, authenticated as a valid account, and its alarm reports decoded for operator disposition. Similarly, NET-COMM Module supports alarm reporting from any non Napco control panel. It supports 5 channel reporting codes. Examples of general alarms: Burglary, panic, fire, telco failure, low battery etc. NetLink and NetComm modules are configured using NL-MODCONFIG, a download software utility program.
