ROLLING MEADOWS, Illinois, November 14, 2007 - MacDermid Autotype, a leading international manufacturer of high performance films for the graphic arts industry, announces two new additions to the company's senior management team. Bill Nelson has been appointed as Director of New Business Development, and David Darsney has accepted the position of Director of Operations at MacDermid Autotype's manufacturing facility in Middletown, Delaware.
In his new position, Bill Nelson will primarily be responsible for expanding sales of Autotype specialty films into new applications and market segments. Prior to joining MacDermid Autotype, Mr. Nelson held senior sales management positions with ICI and Dupont. More recently, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Dunmore Corporation, a custom coater located outside Philadelphia. He has a BS degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, and is a graduate of GE's manufacturing management program.
As the new Director of Operations, David Darsney assumes responsibility for all operations in the company's Delaware manufacturing plant. Previously serving as a Divisional Vice President for Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge, MA, Mr. Darsney has more recently been engaged as a consultant within the plastics and film coating industries. He has a BS in Chemistry from Tufts University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. "We're very excited to welcome Bill and David to MacDermid Autotype, " stated company President, Graham Cooper. "Both of them bring extraordinary experience and knowledge of the specialty films industry to our senior management team.
