Marine Instrument Leader Debuts Line of Four Precision Instrument Displays With Innovative Bonded Screen Technology

Nashua, N.H. - B&G, the world leader in marine instruments, autopilot systems and tactical software solutions, announced today a new family of precision instrument displays, the B&G HVision 40/40 HV, 30/30 HV, 20/20 HV and 10/10 HV. Engineered to provide world-class racers and superyacht sailors with superior performance and visibility under the most challenging conditions, new HVision displays are built to withstand seasons of hard use. The full HVision line upgrades the popular 20/20 and 40/40 B&G mast displays, and adds models to cover every racing and yachting application. Offering greater clarity and durability, the HVision custom segmented instrument display line provides maximum viewing, day or night, of key performance information - delivered quickly and smoothly.

Offering a display solution for yachts of all sizes, the B&G 10/10 HV adds an exciting highly-visible device to the HVision family. While the 40/40 HV, 30/30 HV and 20/20 HV are designed to meet the data display needs of vessels 70-feet and larger, 50- to 90-feet and 30- to 50-feet, respectively, the compact 10/10 HV is the only display with a form factor of its size on the market. Compact yet big on performance, the robust 10/10 HV display is ideal for use where space is limited and easy-viewing of single line data is critical. With a wide range of applications, the 10/10 can be used as cockpit displays on any size yacht, cabin or engine room displays on superyachts, or on a winch pedestals, to name a few.

First used in the 30/30 display, HVision technology significantly enhances durability and visibility in harsh marine environments. The high-integrity bonded screen construction and use of toughened glass and anti-reflective coating ensure the units are not only ultra-rugged, but provide unrivalled wide-angle clarity and guarantee zero condensation. Segmented single line data, high-contrast black on white screens and three-level LED backlighting further increases the visibility of HVision displays in all ambient light and on-deck conditions.

"Our unprecedented HVision technology ensures that the new instrument display range will be the premier choice for dedicated and savvy sailors," said Paul Comyns, director of marketing - B&G, Northstar & Simrad brands, Navico. "B&G instrument displays have consistently led the market with both grand prix and club racing sailors, and we are confident that expanding the HVision range will consolidate that position by ensuring enthusiasts can access vital performance data from reliable, durable and highly-visible displays."

B&G HVision displays use FastNet communications and are compatible with B&G H3000 instrument systems, Hydra systems, Hercules systems from 690 onwards and all Wave Technology Processors (WTP). As the largest member of the series, the 40/40HV weighs 5.1 pounds and is 9.8-inches high, 12.2-inches wide and 2-inches deep. The 30/30 HV weighs 2.7 pounds and is 6.1-inches high, 9.8-inches wide and 2-inches deep, and can also be used as a cockpit display or bridge repeater. The versatile 20/20 HV weighs 1.9 pounds and is 4.5-inches high, 7-inches wide and 2.2-inches deep, and can display data on the mast, in the cockpit and on winch pedestals. Providing an optional single-data display on all sizes of yachts, the 10/10 HV weighs 0.6 pounds and is 2.5-inches high, 4.4-inches wide and 2.1-inches deep. Each unit in the B&G HVision line has a power consumption of only 25mA, is waterproof to the IP67 standard (submersible) and is protected by a 2-year limited parts and labor warranty.

The B&G HVision 40/40 HV, 30/30 HV, 20/20 HV and 10/10 HV have suggested retail price of US $5,900.00, $3,202.00, $1,779.00 and $990.00, respectively, and are available for purchase from authorized B&G dealers and distributors throughout the United States and Canada.
